What happens if I want to register more than 100 or 2,000 products?

If surpassing the accessibility provided from the plan you are currently using, the a restriction is applied to your team from using BoxHero. For the Single Plan, because adding option is not supported, you upgrade to the Business Plan.

For the Business Plan, up to 2,000 products are provided. If you wish to register more, you can add options starting from 1,000 products/$10 per month. Options can be added 50,000 products maximum.

To add or edit options, please go to Settings > Payment.

How can I receive notification alarms for products with low quantity?

By using BoxHero's Low Stock Reminder, you can receive notifications if a product's quantity is running low. From More, go to Low Stock Reminder to start.

Insert the minimum quantity for each product and when it’s low, an alarm notification is sent to you.

Click + Add Category.

Click ‘Low Stock Notification’ to receive push notifications from BoxHero app.

Push notifications are sent on every morning at 9 AM.

Insert Quantity

Click the + Edit Quantity button that appears right after clicking the + Add Category button.

Insert the minimum quantity for each product that needs notifications.

After inserting the number, click Edit.

After all inserting has been finished, click Done.

You can check product’s low stock to excess stock status at once.

  • Low stock: When current quantity is less or equal to the minimum quantity.
  • Excess stock: When current quantity is more than 3 times the minimum quantity.

How do I recover a deleted sub-item?

From Data Center, go to Sub-item and click Recently Deleted to restore sub-items deleted in the past 30 days. For more, please refer to the following information.

How do I upload products with an Excel file?

From Data Center, press the Import Excel button and upload your inventory Excel file at once. For more, please refer to the guide below.

When uploading Excel file:

  1. Because the first row is regarded as properties, please insert the title for each row.
  2. Categories must be added to the Data Center in advance.
  3. For products without barcodes, you can generate it by leaving the barcode row empty.

Can I manage products by the location?

With BoxHero's Location Mode, you can manage your products by numerous locations. If you are managing same products in different places, such as shelves or boxes in a warehouse, you can register each shelf or box in Location Mode to view overall status of locations and even move products from a location to another.

Can I change the Item ID?

Editing Item ID is yet supported on BoxHero. We will do our best to support it shortly.

Can I manage unit price and retail price?

Unit, retail, manufacturing prices can be added as a category. We are in a preparation for updating a better feature to manage price ranges.

What is Product Category?

The product category is extra information you can add for each product. For example, you can add type, brand, manufacturer for each product to efficiently categorize and easily search, manage on BoxHero.

You can add, delete, or edit product categories on Data Center(about Data Center).

What's the difference between Product Category and Sub-item Category?

The sub-item category is information designating each sub-item's attribute. Even if a product has a single barcode, you can sort it by expiration date or its condition by adding it as a sub-item category. Moreover, each sub-item category has its item ID, where you can print as a QR-code label.

Thus, product category is an attribute of a product, while sub-item category is additional information that allows to product information to be divided by expiration date, condition, location, serial number, and more.

Example 1) Handmade Shoe Retail

  • The same model of shoes is affixed with different barcodes based on size and color.
  • Separate inventories exist, the store and the warehouse.
  • The store needs inventory management including B-grade products(try-on product).

For a handmade shoes retail shop, the following categories can be added.

**Size, Color, Type** is a default product information, therefore, should be registered as product category.

For Location, Condition is a variable information that can be changed by the product, so it should be registered as sub-item category.

    • The purchased date, purchased price, condition, and appraisal price of the devices are recorded.
  • Inventory management by product type and model is needed.

For this business, the following additional info can be added to the product inventory.

**Product Name, Category, Brand** is a default product information, therefore, should be registered as product category.

For Condition, Purchased Date, Purchased Price, Appraisal Price, they are variable information that can be changed by the product, so it should be registered as sub-item category.

Can I edit product names and categories at once?

From Data Center > Product, please select the products you wish to edit and press the Edit button to change name, photo, and categories at once. Please refer to the following guide for more.

I want to the product list in an Excel file. How?

Log into BoxHero PC web-app(https://www.boxhero-app.com/) to download your product list in an Excel file. We will update mobile Excel export shortly as well.

From Data Center > Product, please click the Export Excel button for product list download. Please refer to the guide below for more.

What's the difference between Product List and Data Center?

Although you can search various product name or category from both of the menus, from Product List, you can:

  • Sort and view products by categories
  • Add, delete, edit products individually
  • View a specific product's current quantity and past transactions
  • Print a specific product barcode label

From Data Center, you can:

  • View all product data in an Excel format
  • Import/Export product data in an Excel file
  • Change photos of several products at once
  • Edit/delete several products at once
  • Print barcode of several products at once
  • Manage Product Categories and/or Partner

Can I download the uploaded photos?

By clicking the photo, a zoomed screen of the photo will apppear. Please right-click the photo and select the option to save in your PC.

I want to upload my product photos at once. How?

From Data Center > Product, you can upload photos in bulk by clicking the Upload Photos button. Please refer to the following guide for more.

After uploading and checking if photos were properly inserted, click Submit and finish.

Is there an easier way to change the product's location?

With Location Mode, moving a product from a location to another is simple. With Move feature in Location Mode, select the product and location to change its location.

I want to manage my product's location. How?

With Multi Mode's expiry feature. You can efficiently manage the product's expiration statuses. Create a team in Multi Mode and go to More > Expiry. Then, select the expiry category to start.

You can view products in the order of expiration dates and receive push notifications before products expire.

I want to change the category information I first inserted. How?

From Data Center > Category, you can change the category information whenever you want. For more, please refer to the following information.

Adding Category

Click the + Add button for a new category.

Insert name and select the category type.

Supported category format:

  • Text: Any alphabet or number (ex: 20BH17, 2017, BHRO)
  • Number: Whole number or real number such as 1028, 3.14
  • Date: Date in the format of YYYY-MM-DD. (ex: 2020-07-22)

Deleting or Moving Category

Delete or move the order of categories.

note

If the category for the 'Low Stock Reminder' is deleted, the 'Low Stock Reminder' feature will also be disabled as well.

Can I check the number of stock in and stock out transactions in a certain period?

From More menu, you can designate a period and check the number of transactions that occurred. For more, please refer to the following information.

Check each product’s stock in, stock out, audited quantity and the current quantity.

Product without any transaction is exempted.

Select Period

Select the period of a date and press the Go button.

Or click the arrow next to the Go button to view by the given period.

Export Excel

You can download the transaction stats of the chosen period in an Excel file.

I want to view a past quantity of a specific date. How?

From More menu, please go to View Past Quantity to check the number of quantity in the designated time in the past. For more, please refer to the following information.

What happens if I surpass the accessibility?

If you have more products, sub-items, locations, or members than your plan's given accessibility, your team will be restricted from using the service. Please adjust the registered amount or upgrade to a Business Plan or add additional options.

How do I add additional options?

Please go to the Settings > Payment and add options as you need anytime.

If options are added, you will be billed right away for the remainder of your subscription with the number of options added. After, you will be billed by your chosen plan and the options on your billing date accordingly.

Can I reduce the added options?

Please go to the Settings > Payment and edit the options as you need anytime.

If options are reduced, the remainder of your subscription will be transferred as a credit and be deducted from your next bill. After, you will be billed by your chosen plan and the options on your billing date accordingly.

Can I delete several products at once?

From Data Center, please select the products you wish to delete and click the Delete button.

Deleted products are displayed as deleted in history transactions as well.
